    • Jack Bloom

      • The founder and President of Chai University, Jack Sandler Bloom, is a successful entrepreneur, venture advisor, and educator. Jack graduated from Harvard College with honors and received his MBA from the MIT Sloan Graduate School of Business in finance and corporate strategy.

      • Jack spent 12 years on Wall Street as an investment banker. He originated and executed IPO's, private placements, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts. He rose to Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance for a boutique firm with over 200 professionals. He then formed his own consumer finance and retail business. He grew this from start-up to 130 employees and $50 million in profitable sales.

      • Mr. Bloom created the idea for the business, wrote the business plan, raised capital for the business, executed its advertising and sales strategy, hired and trained employees, grew locations, and made profitable acquisitions. He sold his interest in that firm in 2005 to a large hedge fund. Since then, he has been a Professor at NYU Stern School of Management, where he taught Foundations of Entrepreneurship, and a Visiting Instructor at Beijing University, where he taught business innovation to 300 mid-career MBA students. He has also been a popular lecturer at Columbia and Pace. In addition, he is an in-demand strategic advisor to government and business, and has served for the last two years as an advisor to a number of key government officials about financial service reform.
